Bike Mileage Improvement Tips

1. Do you  know what is the present mileage of your  bike? If not  spend some time to calculate the same, this will help to gauge our  success.

2. Travel light, strip all unwanted weights from your bike/scooter. Clear all unused materials from utility boxes,luggage boxes and carrier.

3. Get your  motorcycle/scooter get serviced on time as per the manufacturer recommendations.

4. Do experiment  with different brands of  fuel. You may notice there is particular brand of fuel will be best for  your bike.

5. Ride  your bike at  recommended speed, you may have noticed the many  bike manufacturers suggest the ideal  gear selection at different gears.

6. Too slow and too fast will hamper your  bike mileage. Staying in speedo meter green zone will return better mileage.

7. If you park your bike in day time.Look for cool/shaded area. This will prevent  evaporation loss from fuel tank due to sun light.

Some may argue that bike fuel tank is well closed so this is rubbish. Do remember that there is an air vent hole in fuel tank.

8. If you use chock during cold, take care to keep it into normal position as soon as vehicle reaches a stable speed. This will give an additional benefit, improved piston life.

9. Check the  tyre pressure at least once in a month. The optimum tyre pressure will maintain  optimum  surface contact between tyre surface and road.

10. If you think your bike handle cover will give you better comfort.Be aware that you are paying an unknown price for this  comfort.

The logic behind  this tip is your bike is  designed and tuned   without handle cover.So the engine response with accelerator position will be best with bare handle.
