To Make Pure Kajal

TO MAKE PURE KAJAL at home, fill a perfectly clean silver, steel or copper vessel with pure mustard oil. Put a wick in the oil and light it. Hold or hang a scrupulously clean earthenware pot about half an inch above the burning wick. When the oil finishes, remove the pot; it will be covered with soot. Scrape off all the soot carefully and store it in a small clean tin or special kajal box. Put a few drops of pure castor oil into the soot and mix well.
