1. Sometimes it is much easier to write a note to someone, expressing your wishes, than to confront the person and say it verbally — here the note can work like magic. 2. While drafting your note, think about who it is meant for — an intimate friend, a person you like, someone you have met recendy. 3. Also remember the occasion for penning the note — an anniversary, a chance acquaintance, sharing a joy with someone, etc. 4. There are some perennial easy ways to get started while writing a note. e.g. "What a ... (great trip, grand surprise, warm welcome, etc.)" "I was thinking (or remembering) ..." "I can't tell you how much..." "It was so very nice of you to..." 5. A closing to your note should reflect the nature of your relationship with the recipient. e.g. All my love, Best love, Much love, Love, Fondly, Affectionately, Warmly, Regards (in declining order of intimacy). 6. A personal touch is added when you write the note, instead of typing it.
