1. The use of "Please", "Thankyou", "You're welcome", "Excuse me" let people know that you have good manners. 2. Look people in the eye when you speak to them. 3. When you are introduced, stand up and say, "Nice to meet you," or "Hello," or "How do you do?" 4. If your child asks you, "What is the 'worst' thing a person can do?" your answer should be, "To hurt someone's feelings." 5.The most important thing about introductions is to actually make them. 6. Join in a conversation to make a meal more enjoyable. 7. Start eating only when everyone is seated and has been served. 8. If you drop something during a meal at home, pick it up. At a friend's house, leave it until the meal is over, then pick it up. 9. If you have to blow your nose, or dislodge something stuck between your teeth, excuse yourself and leave the table. 10. If someone drops his/her books or papers in the corridor, it is good manners to stop and help, especially when everyone is hustling to get to the next class.
