Ants in the Sugar: Place 3-4 cloves in with the sugar. This will keep the ants from entering.

Candles, Removing Wax from Holders: A great way to remove leftover candle wax from candle holders is to freeze the holder for a couple of hours. Remove the holder, and use a sharp, thin knife to gently pry the wax out. It should come out in one piece.

Bugs in the House: Put some boric powder in kitchen in corners and other places. Cockroaches will leave your house.

Burnt Food Odors: To neutralize burnt food odors in the house, mix 1/2 cup whole cloves with 2 cups water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer cloves for 15-30 minutes. The house smells wonderful and the burnt odor is gone

Cleaning a Blender: Immediately after using, add a couple drops dish washing soap and fill halfway with hot water. Cover and turn on for a moment. Rinse.

Cleaning Behind The Stove: Coat the wall behind the stove with furniture polish. It will make it easier to wipe clean.

Cleaning Coffee Makers: Drop an EFFER-DENT denture cleaning tablet in a 10 cup coffee maker and add hot water it instead of cold. Brew
as usual then rinse.

Cleaning Silver: Clean silver with the lemon juice and polish up with a soft
clean cloth. Use cotton swabs to get into difficult crevices.
After cleaning your good silver to prevent it tarnishing,
store it in an airtight plastic container.

Cleaning Your Can Opener: The best way to clean your can opener blade is to use an old toothbrush loaded with anti-bacterial dish soap and scrub vigorously. Your can opener blade should be cleaned frequently to prevent bacteria.

Cleaning Your Oven: To remove grease from inside your oven, put a small pan of ammonia in the oven in the evening, and then close the oven door. In the morning, remove the pan of ammonia. The grease inside the oven will wipe off very easily.

Cleanup Greasy Dishes: To cut grease and odor on dishes, add a tablespoon of vinegar to your hot soapy water.

Clogged Drain: A cup of baking soda and a cup vinegar poured down a drain can help clear a clogged drain.

Darkened Aluminum Pans: You can clean darkened aluminum pans easily by pouring in two teaspoons cream of tartar mixed in a quart of water. Place on stovetop and boil for 10 minutes.

Deodorizing Dishes: Deodorize dishes, pans, cutting boards or utensils with pungent odors, simply add 1/4 cup of lemon juice to your dishwater.

Easier Food Processor Clean Up: To keep the lid of a food processor work bowl clean while it's in use, cover the bowl with plastic wrap before fitting the lid, making sure the bowl is completely covered. Process as directed. When done, lift off the clean lid and discard the splattered plastic wrap. Obviously this won't work if you are using the feeder tube. You can also use this trick with the blender.

Eggs, Cleaning up spills: If you drop an egg on the floor, cover it with salt and leave it alone for a couple of minutes. When you come back, you´ll be able to easily clean the mess with a paper towel.

Glass Cleaner: Try cleaning glass or mirrors with club soda. The sodium citrite is the key ingredient.
