Sit down and learn forward slightly and let the blood flow out through your nose. Do not tilt your head backwards as this will cause the blood to go down your throat and make you throw up.
Pinch the soft part of your nostril for 10 minutes and breathe through your mouth. If bleeding does not stop, repeat for another 10 minutes.
Apply cold compress on the upper part of your nose.
After the bleeding has stopped, do not blow your nose for the next few hours.
Its an emergency!
The bleeding does not stop after 20 minutes.
The nosebleed is due to an injury to the nose.
