IF CURRY IS DROPPED onto a silk or georgette sari, cover the stain with talcum powder and place some blotting paper under it. With a clean dry handkerchief, work the powder into the stain by rubbing gently with a circular motion. Use more powder if necessary. Most of the grease will come out this way and the yellow turmeric mark can be removed by washing later with soapy water and drying in the sun.
