Easy Golf Driver Drill
A simple yet not practiced enough driver golf swing drill is simple heading out with a bucket of balls at the driving range and having only one goal in mind. Hit the 150 yard flag. Even if you know your golf swing will send that ball further then 150 yards practicing control and mechanics at this distance will help you improve over a shorter period of time.
Single Hand Hip Turn Drill
You may have seen people doing this drill before it helps emphasize how important the core of your body is in the golf swing. So many of us try to kill the ball only using our arms for power, not brining our hips around into the swing.
So grab your golf driver, address the ball with your body square and with only your leading hand swing the driver with the goal of making contact and hitting the ball straight. To get some power behind your swing and still maintain control you’ll discover almost naturally you’ll rotate your hips all the way around.
This drill can be performed to help you with any golf swing with any club not just your driver how ever it is most effective in helping with your driver golf swing.
Don’t drop the Quater drill
Again this drill works for a multitude of clubs in your bag, not just your driver golf swing. The purpose of the drill is to help increase your balance through the swing. Again grab your driver and address the ball as your normally would once you’re square place a quarter on your leading foot. You want to be able to swing make contact and follow through without having that quarter fall off your shoe. Sound odd? Probably but just give it a try to test how good your balance is.
It might sound to easy, and if you try this exercise to help your driver golf swing and find that you’re able to do this easily then balance is one of your strong points of your swing. How ever if you do have trouble keeping the coin on your shoe then increasing your balance will be a surefire way to improve your golf drive.
