IT IS A FALLACY that pure ghee is necessary in the daily diet. For most adults (unless they are doing hard physical work) it is best avoided, as it leads to thick­ening of the arteries leading to heart trouble and a lot of other troubles. However, for thin children (or adults) it can be included in the diet in small amounts if they are not having much butter. For cooking, oil is healthier.
