Avoid Repeating Commands

When giving a dog a command, state it once in a clear, firm tone. Avoid using repetition if your pooch does not respond. She may learn that she can ignore you. If you find your furry friend feigns a deaf ear, go to her, reinstate the command and gently reinforce it. If you dog is still resistant, it may be time to take a break and resume training at a later time.
